On behalf of the Ministry, Governing Council and Institute’s Management, I’m pleased to welcome you to National Sugar Institute (NSI) website where you can find information about our training programs, objects and functions, vision, mission, core values, commitments and other initiatives.

The National Sugar Institute (NSI) is an autonomous public training institution established through the Sugar Industry Act. No. 26 of 2001, whereas main functions are to develop and carrying out training, conducting research and carry out technical consultancy in order to improve productivity of the sugar industry.

The launching of our website marks an important milestone in our vision of becoming a centre of excellence for quality technical education in sugar and allied industries in Africa and also as a highly innovative institution in delivering quality training, research and outreach programs that meet the needs and expectations of all of our stakeholders and customers.
